Poverty

School kids running down a roadThe Charity Pro’s advocate for the hungry and homeless children across the United States.  One in five children grow up in poverty, with the highest poverty rates, 90%, being in rural areas. Because of circumstances beyond their control, millions of kids never reach their full potential.

Poverty can impede children’s ability to learn and contribute to social, emotional, and behavioral problems. Poverty also can contribute to poor health and mental health. Research is clear that poverty is the single greatest threat to children’s well-being.

However, poverty not only includes a lack of income, but also a lack of resources to ensure sustainable livelihood, such as food, clothing, clean water, and proper shelter.  Over 15 million children (21%) in the United States live in families with income below the federal poverty level. The needs of these families are grossly underestimated.

Please join us in helping the many organizations that provide relief for these children.
