The Families

Every day, we hear about the tragic stories of the front-line health care workers and first responders that lost their life to Covid-19 while working, protecting and fighting for us. These true Heroes have left behind families and children devasted by their loss. Sadly, many have already been forgotten, but we are committed to helping these children in their healing and some of the educational challenges. These children all have different stories and come from diverse backgrounds, but they will all have one thing in common, they will have to overcome many challenges while moving forward without the support of their beloved Hero.

We already know of over 4,000 (and growing) front-line healthcare workers that died from Covid-19. That does not include the teachers, postal workers, first responders and others. Like John, a nurse from Louisville that leaves behind his three beautiful children. Like Bryant, the firefighter from Converse, TX that leaves behind his two young kids. Like Tawauna, a nurse from Ohio that will be missed by her seven young children including her newborn that she never got to hold.

Megan’s Wish

Megan MaloneyWishes make life better for kids coping with traumatic circumstances and the grief of losing a parent or guardian. Each and every day, we learn of the incredible stories of children nationwide who are dealing with the effects of their loss. These children all come from diverse backgrounds and circumstances, however they all share one thing: they are faced with challenges in their young lives that they will have to overcome while moving forward without the support of a parent or guardian.

A wish come true helps children feel stronger, more energetic, and more willing to handle the overwhelming grief. For many, a wish marks a true turning point in their young lives.

Everyone, including individuals, organizations, and corporations, can help make dreams come true by donating. When you direct your gift to Megan’s Wish, 100% of your donation supports our program to help a child’s wish come true.

Our Megan’s Wish Kids can request just about anything for their wish, including vacations, trips to theme parks, meeting celebrities or idols, shopping, toys, electronics or commodities.
